  1. Without viewing the original post, when I look at this I see God’s children stuck in the muck and the mire of sin. But He is looking down from heaven with the greatest of love always ready and willing to pull them out of even the most hopeless of situations. Because we, like that rose, are so beautiful to Him. Only God can pull us out of such a sticky mess, clean us up, and make us smell and look as pretty as a rose once more!

    1. Lizzy, thanks for sharing such a thought-provoking perspective. It’s one I hadn’t thought of, so I’m glad you contributed this comment. 🙂

When I saw the image, my mind went immediately to a literal place – ‘letting go’ of some of the baggage we carry. Letting go to the point of forgiving ourselves and others. Forgiving ourselves because that’s a lot of weight to carry… Forgiving others, if for no other reason, so that we can heal. I also ‘saw’ letting go of certain relationships.

Again, thanks for being a part of this post! cj

      1. That is the great thing about art, whether it be a photo or painting or drawing. One can interpret it in so many different and beautiful ways.
