To my dear blogging family/friends and community members, I’m feeling guilty because I haven’t been able to visit or post as usual.  I had a personal daily goal to visit and like/respond to as many of my favorite bloggers as possible (those who’ve continually supported me since I returned to WordPress and those new found friends/followers).

Well life just keeps happening…

I’m dealing with and balancing work/life stuff:  A lot of good things are happening for me right now but then my son recently attended the services of a young man he and some of his friends hung out with… an 18-year-old, someone’s son, grandchild, friend… lost his life in a car accident… possibly speeding…not wearing a seat belt…  I’m truly sorry for this loss and my heart goes out to his family, friends and others who love and knew him…

I could say more but…

For the next month or two I’ll be posting less content but visiting and sharing more of your wonderful stories and journeys!  Reblogs are saved as “cookie dough” – you know, ’cause there’s no need to always start from scratch!

For those of you who added your voice in comments, I’ll continue to tuck them away in “the oven” because they’re easier to get to on the days you feel the need to bake!

I miss you all because, let’s face it, you’re such an amazingly supportive group of talented individuals who make the world a better place.

I’m still here – it’s just that life and the world outside of the cookie jar is also calling…

    Sorry to hear about your son’s friend . Such a loss.

  5. Life/death happens to the best of us and somehow we must learn to appreciate the 🍪 “cookies” that are gone as well as the ones that are both in and out of the cookie jar. Death of a loved one is difficult… yet inevitable. Here’s wishing. you and yours the best. Incidentally I just did a post a couple of days ago about death called Sleep On…..

  6. You take care of what needs taking care of — including yourself! It is good to turn away now and again to focus on other matters of the heart and life itself. Be kind to yourself just as you are to others. We will miss you, but look forward to your return!
